"SO NEITHER HE WHO PLANTS NOR HE WHO WATERS IS ANYTHING, BUT ONLY GOD WHO GIVES THE GROWTH."
1 CORINTHIANS 3:7
Dear Family,
As you know, it’s normal and natural for something alive to grow. At the same time, growth is intentional, not automatic according to2 Peter 3:18: “But grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 3:7 says, “So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth.” That means we’re in partnership with God as we do all we can to grow while relying on Him who alone gives the growth. I often thank God for the faithful followers at Edgewood, much like the Apostle Paul did when he thought of the believers at Thessalonica: “We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing” (2 Thessalonians 1:3). I love that your faith is growing abundantly and your love is increasing. I’m thrilled the Edgewood family is about to enter a time of accelerated growth. May God stir us and revive us for the fame of His glorious name.
It’s grow time! Are you ready?
