Edgewood Welcomes Our Administrative Pastor
After a nationwide search over many months, God has provided Pastor Daniel Barrett as our next Administrative Pastor! Pastor Daniel is married to Dee Dee and they have four grown children and one grandchild.
We’ve been partnering with Vanderbloemen, our ministry search consultants, while seeking God’s provision. Over 1,300 people viewed our job listing, 101 applicants applied, 13 candidates were interviewed by phone, 11 were interviewed via Zoom, 7 candidates were presented to us, and God led the Deacons to extend an offer to Pastor Daniel this week after his candidating weekend.
Pastor Daniel comes with a wealth of ministry experience and has earned a B.A. in Pastoral Ministry and Bible/Theology, an M.A. in Christian Ministry, as well as a Doctor of Strategic Leadership degree.
Our Administrative Pastor has a key role in helping us fulfill our mission to make disciples by gathering, growing, giving, and going with the gospel for the glory of God and the fame of His name. As a pastor, he will help to shepherd God’s people and as an administrator, he will take the lead in day-to-day operations necessary for the execution of Edgewood’s mission and vision. This includes financial management, human resources, and organizational development. He will also be responsible for evaluating and implementing processes, systems, and policies that build and support our ministry so that our teams are aligned and supported.
Daniel and Dee Dee are hoping to move to the Quad Cities in early September.
